Community Guidelines
How we keep TSCA welcoming and safe.
These guidelines apply to every TSCA community space. The heart of them: be kind, be honest, and protect each other.
Rule 1
Every question is welcome
No mocking beginners, ever. Nobody is “too new” to ask.
Rule 2
Every card counts
No shaming low-value cards, small budgets, or “wrong” collections. Collect what you love.
Rule 3
Collect your way
No bullying people for what, how, or why they collect: any team, any sport, graded or raw, bargain bin or high end.
Rule 4
No toxic flexing
Share your pulls and wins with joy. Don’t use them to put others down or to make anyone feel they must spend more to belong.
Rule 5
No addiction or mental health jokes
No stigma, no slurs, and no “crazy,” “psycho,” or “schizo” as insults. Don’t make light of anyone’s struggle. Sharing your own story is always welcome.
Rule 6
No pressure to spend
Don’t push anyone to buy, rip, chase, or “go big.” Celebrate people who stop, save, or walk away.
Rule 7
Be kind when someone is struggling
Listen, don’t diagnose, and don’t give medical advice. Never tell anyone to stop or change their medication or treatment.
Rule 8
No harassment, hate, or threats
Disagree with ideas, not people. Hate speech and discrimination lead to removal.
Rule 9
No scams or ripping off members
Describe cards honestly. Don’t pass off altered, trimmed, reprinted, or counterfeit cards as genuine. No misleading listings or bait-and-switch.
Rule 10
Opinions aren’t facts
Say “I think,” or share a source. Don’t claim a price, grade, or investment outcome is certain. No hype and no “guaranteed” returns.
Rule 11
Be helpful, or keep scrolling
If you can’t add something useful or kind, move on. No pile-ons, and no sarcasm aimed at people.
Rule 12
Protect privacy
Don’t share anyone’s personal information, private messages, photos, or story without their permission.
Rule 13
No spam or unsolicited selling
No unsolicited DMs or sales pitches. Self-promotion only where it’s allowed, and disclose it if you’re paid or earn a commission.
Rule 14
Keep it safe for everyone
No sexual content, no graphic descriptions of self-harm or drug use, and no promoting gambling, betting, or drug sources.
Trading and selling
Deal safely
- Use clear photos and honest descriptions of condition.
- Be cautious with off-platform payments, which may remove buyer protection.
- Use tracking for valuable shipments.
- Report suspicious listings or behavior to moderators.
TSCA can’t guarantee the safety of any trade or sale between members. Use your judgment.
Moderation
Reports, actions, and appeals
Anyone can report a post that breaks these guidelines. Safety problems, such as threats, scams, or someone in danger, are acted on right away.
For most rule breaks, the first step is a warning and the post is removed. Before posting again, the member apologizes to the person affected, by private message or through a moderator if that person would rather not be contacted. Repeated or serious problems, such as harassment, hate, scams, or sharing private information, lead to temporary or permanent removal.
If you think a moderation decision was a mistake, use the contact page to ask for a review.
Peer support, not professional help
TSCA community members support each other as fellow collectors. That isn’t clinical or emergency help. If you or someone else is in crisis in the U.S., call or text 988, or contact local emergency services.
